The stream of time is flowing
& we must yield to her force
Allowing her to take us into tomorrow
with an anticipation of destination
Going back is not an option . . .
An impenetrable wall weighs down upon us
Drifting is not an option . . .
An insta
nt force never allows our forward pace to alter
So onward we must
Exploring the dimension,
No, half dimension of time
Our God has allotted to us

The opening lines "The stream of time is flowing
& we must yield to her force", reminded me of an old incident when it dawned on me for the first time, that it's no use fighting against time, fate or what ever one wants to call it. We all simply have to move on because time moves on. Otherwise we'll run out of time any :)
Thankyou for sharing.
I don't fully understand the last two lines, although I have an idea as to what you might mean. Care to give me a hint?
Imagine if our 1 dimension of time would unroll into 2 dimensions. We could stip out of our line and walk into the future or past ... then leave & go back and enter the line where we left with no time passing :) But I'm sure you question the 1/2 dimension I mentioned ... we don't have the option of walking back and forth along our dimension of time like we do our dimension of space. We are only allowed power over 1 direction. Thinking of that limitation, I added the '1/2' dimensions.
I think you should delete that comment on your profile (the one that says you are boring) immediately!
I haven't read Flatlands. It sounds interesting. I'll look it up at Amazon & maybe search the used book stores if you think it worth a read.
Flatlands is about a 2-dimensional world. I've never read it, but my husband (who's into math) talks about it all the time, so it's on my list. I think it's a classic.
I like your new tag line!
Yes, it's the Edwin Abbott story. Now I need to go and see if audible.com has it so I can download it. (Synchronicity in action).
Thanks also for the info on Flatlands. I'm on my way to the used internet book store right now.
Actually ... I never changed that one ... I thought you meant the one I changed from 'curious' (after the name Glome) to 'Till We Had Faces' which is the name of the book that tells about the city of Glome.)
I'm going to have to come over and harass you a little. Thank you mam,
If your Mom needs more help than you can provide her, I hope you don't feel guilty about it. My heart is with you.
Thanks ... I wrote a poem regarding her ... see "Used to be ..."
I'm getting a movement detector tomorrow ... I think that will be the answer. I'm hopeful :)
concept of time. It is amazing.
I published poem 'I'm Every Age I've Ever Been' about 3 weeks ago based on time also. Our bodies get older but we ourselves don't. The I found a verse where God said "I have put eternity in your soul" and then I knew :) Our souls never age. We have ageless souls living in aging bodies. That explains a lot doesn't it? Time is an exciting subject.
Thanks for coming by.
I like your writing and am anxious to come over and read
more. Thank you for coming by.
(ps. I hope you aren't still nakid. Threre are boys in this room)
Anyway ... as you know, I thought I had come off sounding critical. Going back to see who you were I found your response :) Yaaaaa. Thanks for coming here with your little sweetie. Thanks for commenting. I'll try to do better at keeping up with you.
I thought about time in a circle also. That would mean that everybody that died throughout all the decade would arrive in timeless Heaven the same moment ... it would just seen like a long time apart on earth.
I'd put a baby monitor under her bed, without her knowing it. AND the motion detectors, too! Easier to say "opps! sorry!" than to not be there when needed.
Life is funny, my darling little sister. Not funny, ha-ha (although sometimes, and with the right sense of humor, it is!) But funny, like here's my mom, on the floor, and in 25 years, that will be me, with MY daughter trying to lift me? funny.
Or not.
Personally, I think I'd rather wander off into the great southwest or deep into the grand canyon than play that on my kids. That's what my people used to do. Go walkabout, without a map!
Nice article, great theories. Would like to see your book list.
You probably rock, and we'd talk for hours at a party after the second Cuervo shot.
Blessings, off to read your other stuff now. (BTW, I really GOT the last two lines of your poem above. It spoke to me in harmony, ONE WAY!)

I've thought about myself too. I just don't want the kids doing this. If I feel myself getting helpless, I'll just sneak out and sign up for the nursing home before anyone knows it :) As logn as I can have my books. And internet so I can keep up with you :)
Yaaaaaaaa for the last two lines. I wondered whether or not they would be self explanatory to anyone. I'm a happy woman :)
You're really on a roll with your POETICS
The next one on the list . . . {wink}. I'll message you!
Blessings ~

I used to love trying to take good pictures but was so busy I got out of the habit. Mom is wantint to get out more so maybe I can play in that area also. Maybe even about her ... don't know ... we'll see.
