Jesus shares in our sadness. Somehow I find joy in that.
WHY JESUS WEPT
©Robert Burnham
Daddy, why does Jesus weep?
He weeps for the addict living on the road
Her broken mind, her tortured soul
He weeps for the little lad abused
In a family of sorrow, a family confused
He weeps for the elderly that does not repent
Of a life lived in chaos and many sins spent
He weeps for you and He weeps for me
Because God's plan; we choose not to see
Mommy why does Jesus weep?
He weeps for the woman with an unborn child
Given to abortion, conceived in the wild
He weeps for the one drowning his sorrows in beer
Broken and beaten believing no one cares
He weeps for the disciples, not listened to
The deaf ears and all the hardened hearts too
He weeps for you and He weeps for me
Captives of sin but so easily set free
Lord, why does Jesus weep?
He weeps for a world lost and alone
For all the world's sinners who will never go home
He weeps for the soldiers sent out there to die
The ones never given a chance to even ask why
He weeps for governments full of corruption and greed
They think that power and money are all they'll need
He weeps for you, my child, he weeps for you
He weeps in happiness for your one heart true.

Those who have the love of Jesus in their hearts know acutely how grieved he is for our pain. I felt his love in your poem.
You have been Blessed,,,
I hope and pray that you don't really feel as bitter as you seem in your comment.
Thany you profoundly Robert !!!
The times we need love the most is when we seem to deserve it the least. People need compassionate prayers.... :)
This isreally good; because it reads well, but mainly because it is so filled with truth.
