Oops! E-mail Blooper

I get a lot of funny email with jokes and links to humorous sites, but today I received a blooper that literally had me ROFLMAO.  I am still laughing. Got to share this one!

Last week, my husband took me to a very expensive restaurant to celebrate my birthday. It was adjacent to a casino and we were looking forward to a fun-filled evening. Unfortunately, while the cuisine in the expensive restaurant was aesthetically pleasing, it was barely palatable. We didn't complain, but it was a very costly disappointment.

I decided to send an email to the restaurant to give them the benefit of my valuable opinion of their restaurant's fare. I worded my message diplomatically, eschewing sarcasm in favor of clarity.

I received a reply, signed "Concierge Staff". This is the line that cracked me up:

"we would like to apologize for any incontinence this may have caused you and your family"

Whatever problems we had experienced, incontinence was not one of them. Every cloud has a silver lining, and this one gave me a good laugh.  Yep, I'll remember this birthday!

I can't wait for their next email. The Concierge Staff has referred my email - and their reply - to the proper managment division. Should be a hoot.

My wife had a husband that would have either turned the plate over and walked out or thrown it at the wait staff. He used to do it over trivial stuff. He was so big no one would argue with him.

I don't know what I would have done. They not only can't cook they do not know how to spell or don't know our language.

I hated to make a scene when my husband went to so much expense to make it a special occasion. Flavor extracted food is just not our thing. If you're into food ribbons, fruited meats, mystery food and bizarre combinations, this place is your dream.
The chicken appeared to be resting in a nest of bran mash chicken feed. No thanks!

I think it was very brave of them. Not many restaurants will own up to causing incontinence, much less apologize for it. :)
That's a funny email! I'm not one to waste money on expensive dining. I'm very big on getting my money's worth so I would have said something to the "concierge staff" and asked for a reduction of the bill.

UPDATE: The casino restaurant sent me a blooper-free email asking for my mailing address to send me a comp voucher for $120 to dine there again. My husband is skeptical, but I figure even if the food is bad again, we will at least get TWO crappy meals for the price of one!
