In the summer months the children can play under the fountain , more often than not you find
the adults playing in the water alongside them. It is a very relaxed place where you can just let loose and enjoy yourself....

Once you enter the River walk this is one of the views you will see. We always do the bottom level first. It is by far my favorite. There are plenty of benches and shade so you can relax and cool off.

This is one of the many beautiful views of the river you get to enjoy from the river walk.
The river walk was a project that was started in 1987 it has brought life to historic Augusta.
Former Mayor Charles Devaney helped get this beautiful place started, he tried to do a lot for
Augusta. Unfortunately he passed away recently. His project remains for everyone to enjoy today.

Part of the Japanese pocket garden. This is one of my favorite views from the river walk .

This garden was finished in 1993. It is a water garden with a small waterfall. It is a very tranquil area.

It is shady and tranquil here. There are benches close by and wonderful views of the Savannah River.

I may be a bit biased but I do love Augusta Georgia. There are many beautiful things to see here. Also the Masters is held in Augusta. People from all over the world flock to see that if they are lucky enough to get tickets. The waiting list is long and I believe it is currently closed due to such a long list.

The view as I was walking back to my car... imagine yesteryear. The cobblestone streets. The small businesses. The charm is still there today. If ever you are in the neighborhood I recommend you visit the River Walk and also the Botanical Gardens both are free to the public.
