A few months ago one of my cats (shadow) brought me a furry little trophy. You guessed it a mouse. We live sort of in the country so from time to time we will get one. The cats quickly take care of this little problem and the children and husband are never any the wiser. Yes he is a tad squemish when it comes to reptiles and rodents.
Well This particular time the mouse was not dead yet. So of course it ran around the livingroom with the girls screaming~the cat chasing~the dog barking~the husband leaving the room~and me laughing my head off. Finally the cat catches the mouse, the children stop screaming, the dog stops barking, the husband reenters the room and I sometime later quit laughing.
So this morning when I am having my first cup of coffee in a nice quiet house one cat is acting weird. She won't leave the bookcase alone. Yup I found her prey. I dispatched it out the door and continued on my merry way. Apparently there were two. My husband thought he would take care of the other one for me since it was already dead (so he thought hehehe) just as soon as he reached down to scoop it up into his gloved hand it jumped up and took off! I have never seen such a big guy move so fast in my life. It is beyond hard to type this now because I keep laughing every single time I picture it!
