Too often we rush through life and don't slow down and see what is all around us. This afternoon I decided to take a walk and see what I could see if I looked closer than usual.
I was surprised at what there was to see!
First, I walked down the train tracks next to a trucking company.

I noticed some dead vines on the fence so I walked over closer...

And this is what I saw.

Then I saw a rock.

Next to the rock was a little speck of purple...

I bent over and saw this.

I looked over the other direction and saw something laying on the ground.

It was an old power pole cross arm.

I got down closer and saw this...

I looked off to the side.

I noticed a white spot.

I got down on my knees and looked closer...

I walked a little further. In the dead brush I saw something.

When I got closer it looked like some kind of lichen.

I think that's what it is...

I walked down a little gravel path.

When I looked closer I saw some little green spots.

Bending down I saw these really cool moss plants!

On the way back home I was walking through a field.

I noticed some interesting plants.

It had rained earlier. I saw that some of the plants had water on them.

When I got down on the ground and looked really close, this is what I had the pleasure of seeing!

I'm just curious.
Are YOU looking close enough? I sure hope so!
