Wow,Clinton ahead in Gallup poll for national,first time since March 18

It doesn't mean anything though if Obama has more delegates than Clinton at the Democratic convention.

A couple of political analysts on one of the news shows last night was saying after PA Hillary will be ahead in the popular vote if she wins that state.If she can keep ahead in the popular vote winning Kentucky,Puerto Rico etc. what does that then say to the super delegates about who the majority wants?

While Clinton has a 1% lead with Gallup, she's behind 10% ABC/Washington Post, 19% Newsweek, 13% Reuters, 3% AP, yeilding 7.7% advantage to Obama. In the Penn primary her lead is down to 5.1%. In N Carolina Obama has an average 14.5% lead and Indiana shows Clinton ahead by an average 2.2%. Anyway you look at it with proportional delegate assignment Obama has virtually a lock.

Any way you look at cross-over voters in November, McCain has a lock.

The number that is going up is "anybody but Obama".

When polls are that close, watch out.

"For Pennsylvania Democrats, the smart choice Tuesday is Mrs. Clinton," writes the paper's deeply conservative editorial board in a piece e-mailed to reporters by her campaign Sunday. "She has a real voting record on key issues. Agree with her or not, you at least know where she stands instead of being forced to wonder.

"Many of her views on domestic issues are too liberal for us, but on others she seems to have moderated. ."

The board sharply criticizes both Barack Obama and his wife Michelle, writing that: "Everyone utters stupidities now and then. Yet taken together and uttered repeatedly, they sound like a pattern of thought in the Obama household. It's a pattern the nation can't afford in the White House."

Hillary CAN still win-From real clear politics
According to Real Clear Politics Barack Obama leads Hillary Clinton in the popular vote. However, the margins change depending on whether the total includes Florida and Michigan and estimated tallies from Iowa, Nevada, Washington and Maine.
Without Florida, Michigan, and the four states with estimated totals, Obama leads Clinton by 717,086 votes, or 2.6% of all votes cast. The difference drops to 204,227 votes, or 0.6% of the total, when factoring in those 6 states.

The expected record-high voter turnout in next week's Pennsylvania primary could shrink Obama's lead in the popular vote, or perhaps give it over to Clinton.
