So, I decided to take a Sunday drive. That's one of the things I like about living where I do. I can take a Sunday drive and see so much!
I started by driving up to Mount Hood. I was surprised when I saw there was still snow on the roofs in the village of Government Camp!

I turned off the highway onto Timberline Road. As I climbed higher, the snow piled up. It was a record year for snowfall on the mountain.

Then I turned a corner and got my first full view of the mountain.

Off to the right was the White River Canyon.

I walked over and took a few photos of Timberline Lodge.

After enjoying the view of the south side of the mountain I went back down and drove around to the east side of Mount Hood.

I continued around the mountain to the north side.

By the time I got around to this side I was getting lower down the mountain and starting to see signs of Spring. This vineyard only had a little snow in between the rows of grapevines.

This is the upper end of the Hood River Valley. Famous for it's fruit orchards, it will be next on my Sunday drive.
