Interstate 10 near Phoenix AZ... State Prison: do not stop for hitchhikers  

 

Highway 26, Idaho Falls, Idaho... Warning to tourists: don't laugh at the natives  

 

Sherriff's Dept. Warden County, IN.... at entrance to jail a sign reads, "No weapons beyond this point." Message is also written in brail underneath.  

 

Various parts of Jamaica... In Jamaica, they call speedbumps "sleeping policemen," so in some parts of the island, there are signs that read, "Warning! Sleeping Policemen Ahead."  

 

Clemson, SC... caution: water on road during rain  

 

Street in Savannah, GA.... street closed to traffic when flooded  

 

Smokey Mountain National Park, Tennessee... If tunnel is dark, remove sunglasses  

 

University of North Texas Cafeteria.... do not place buttered bread in the toasters!  

 

Interstate 44 into Oklahoma... Do not drive into smoke  

 

Central Oregon Highways... Do not pass snowplows on the right  

 

 Freeway near San Diego, CA.... Cruise ships use airport exit  

 

South Side of San Antonio, TX.... Cemetery Road. Dead End.  

 

Gas Pump.... sign reads: Please prepay in advance

I live in Oregon and those snowplow signs are hilarious. What kind of dummy would try to pass one on the right when there's going to be major piles of snow being flown at you and throwing you in the ditch right along with it!

But you know... they have most signs for a reason.... some knucklehead had to cause the need for it!

The "do not pick up hitchhikers" sign on west of Phoenix on I10 -- The same sign is north of Phoenix on I17 where Adobe juvenile correctional center is located.

We have the hitch hiker ones near Pendleton and also at Bunker Hill. I think they are common where there are correctional facilities!

I like the Cemetery Road - Dead End one best!
