Yesterday, I went for a beach walk.  Here are a few shots at our lovely East Beach here in Santa
Barbara.  From Bayou Toes to Beach Toes, my feet love being naked.

Looking down the beach at the Ice Plant which grows everywhere.  Lovely daisy type flowers with thick succulent leaves.

A plein-air painter capturing someone lounging on the sand.  She was fun to watch.

This rock is a planet for many universes.

I'm sure that in the next few years, these trees will have to be moved or cut down.  The cliff is eroding naturally.

How I wish I was able to walk a beach with my toes in the sand before I dip them in the cool waters. I'm afraid I'd sink now...and fall. Maybe someday again...maybe even before the winter takes hold once again. My foot (seeing how I only have one now) also loves to be naked...just like the rest of me...LOL!

Very nice stroll, Mariana. It looks like a lovely stretch of beach. The flowers running along the beach was definitely worth the stroll. Can't wait for the flowers blooming all over everywhere here. It's coming.

You and Rocksana look so cute together! This is the second beach essay I've seen in the last half hour. I commented there, and will here too that I haven't even been home a week, I'm still itching like crazy from sun poisoning...and yet, I want to be back on the beach. I live where I don't fit:(

Thanks for sharing your trip to the beach! Now that I'm home in NH I won't visit the beach until it gets much warmer. I miss the beach in FL...Sanibel Island and its shells. Oh, I'm already homesick for Florida and I haven't even been home a week. Please go to the beach again soon and send more photos!!

I had some ice plant when we lived in Texas and it flourished. I tried some here, but our winters are just too cold. It did make it one year but not the next. I might get a plant this year and keep it in a pot and bring it inside as a houseplant next Fall. I didn't know it grew wild along beaches like that. Truly beautiful.

I love that rock. I have special rock that I go to at time when I want to let my thoughts tumble into place. This one reminds me of that one.

Fred, you're more than kind - this rock is my sister - she was once part of a mountain and held the collective consciousness of many millenniums - she tells me stories in a sing song voice that harmonizes with the sounds of waves splashing against her...I appreciate you and your rock, Fred. I want to see a picture as well...Oh well, bath house I'm sure used to be the pool house but that's moved down the street a ways. Thanks for the visit, Fred. Always a pleasure! Salud.
