After seeing the so-called 'debate' last night, two things became starkly clear. I will NEVER trust ABC News again as a reliable source of information, and I will NOT vote for Ms. Clinton.
I am now, definitively, an Obama kind of guy.
That 'debate' was the most juvenile and irrelevant excuse for sniping I've ever seen anywhere except on FOX ('fair and balanced') News.
Obama is the only person in this entire campaign with any class or credibility, imho. He's got my vote.
As for the current state of the American electoral process? I am, both as a registered Democrat (though I ticket split all the time) and as an American citizen, disgusted with the depths to which we have sunk.

Senator Obama has the dignity of Atticus Finch.
I might watch ABC tonight, make a list of their major sponsors and boycott the sponsorship products. What an utter insult to the American public!
But McCain does have something that Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama lack, and that is the ability to be a leader.
Whether we like him or not, John McCain does have the experience to be able to lead a nation, and although I have not been too fond of him for years, I would rather take my chances with McCain than go under another 4 - 8 years of Clinton or even go under Obama.
Both Clinton and Obama have scandal written all over them, any smart person knows that the only Democrat on the list of candidates that even had any credibility is Bill Richardson (I would be voting for Richardson for sure if it was McCain vs. Richardson).
Of all Democrats serving as Governor in the whole USA, Richardson is probably the only Democratic Governor that I actually do like.
Of course if I had to choose between Hillary and Obama, I would be picking Hillary Clinton, cause oh gosh Obama really does make me cringe.
While I would be cool with having a Black President, should it ever happen, I know that Obama has ties to Islamic fundamentalists and he is tied to this one Church that preaches Anti-White and Anti-America stuff.
Obama claims he never heard the Anti-White sermons from Rev. Wright but how is that possible when Obama has been going to that Church long enough to actually have heard the sermons a few times.
Oprah Winfrey (big supporter of Obama) actually quit going to Rev. Wright's church because of his racism (Obama's richest Black supporter disagrees with Rev. Wright's racism, what does that tell you?)
Additionally, if you research Reverend Wright, and 'Liberation Theology,' you will find that in fact, the Reverend is NOT racist, but does emerge from the philosophy of Liberation Theology - in which extreme rhetoric is frequently used to underscore points - but not as serious points of discussion and debate.
Ryan scares me. Since he knows things about Barack Obama that even Barack Obama doesn't know, I'm afraid he is going to tell me I'm a Baptist or something. I'll be so disappointed to learn that about myself.
The following line now has been over used.
"While I would be cool with having a Black President, should it ever happen, I know that Obama has ties to Islamic fundamentalists and he is tied to this one Church that preaches Anti-White and Anti-America stuff."
It tells on you and those who use it. Stop wasting good air.
Great advice, Spencer. I read a few between-the-lines messages in what you quoted, none of which are flattering to the air-waster. I particularly like the creative use of Capitalization.
A lot of people disagreed with me when Hillary was the victim, but low and behold now the Obama is among the victims as he was the other night, they now object to the way the media is handling the things.
I found Spencer's " I'm at the point now that I believe some people must have blind spots or too much ear wax in that they fail to see or hear the truth and would prefer to believe anything as long as its against Obama. " particularly amusing because because if you change the name at the end to Hillary or "a Clinton" it expresses how I have felt for years. I still feel that way because of something I heard today which was pro-Obama commentator who was criticizing ABC's coverage make a ridiculous statement to the effect that while watching the debate he was waiting for someone to ask Obama if he was involved in Vince Foster's murder! Since all authorities (including Ken Starr) who have investigated that death have concluded it was a suicide. it was little more than an obvious attempt to inject one of the Clinton smears that many Hillary haters still chose to believe and no one called him on the mislabeling of that unfortunate death,
Sandy and Spencer,
While I see good reason to object to some of the things Ryan said, I also object to anyone telling someone "to stop wasting good air." Since the living need to breathe it is the equivalent of telling them they don't deserve to be ;living! That is no way to achieve unity.
you got that Vince Foster comment completely the wrong way.
It was a sarcastic comment for the reason you mentioned. Since it was ruled a suicide and believed to be by any sensible person, and it was against Clinton, it was a joke on 'will you now accuse Obama of every urban legend out there?'
I disagree. You have always been a Obama supporter. An undecided person would not have the same outrage. You are like the Hillary supporters who were pissed when Tim Russert got tough with Hillary.
Joe,
In other words, people who question Obama's judgment in selecting Wrights as his spiritual advisor and a paid campaign consultant are racist. You should only use the race card when it is appropriate.
Carol, I'll rephrase this so you might understand the other meaning. He's blowing hot air. I'm not asking him to die, I'm asking him to stop saying things that are not true.
I previously had much compassion for Hillary's plight - she had worked so hard, and so diligently to have this option... and then to suddenly have someone of Obama's caliber suddenly emerge from left field and command as much attention as he has ... well, THAT would have to be a (are you ready?) ... bitter pill to swallow.
But... for leadership, there is a *need* especially these days, for such a thing as 'grace under fire;' she doesn't have it. Neither does McCain.
So far as I've seen, Obama does.
There is nothing wrong with questioning Obama's judgment on the facts. But, that is not what is going on here. I believe that if you searched your heart you would come to the same conclusion.
Disgusting. Thank God Edwards is out or we'd be back on haircut prices.

Joe,
Thanks for the reply. Are you not doing the same thing as Sir Elton John when he calls America misogynistic?
I heard a tape of Sean Hannity telling Stephanopoulos to ask about Ayers. Are you kidding me? He takes orders from Hannity. Hannity is not even a journalist.

Disgusting. Thank God Edwards is out or we'd be back on haircut prices. Did you guys see Edwards on Steven Colbert's show last night? It was great. I'll be back with a link if I find a clip.
