Good recipes involving fruit???

I'm looking at today's ad and my man will be home tonight and a lot of fruit is on sale in bulk, especially strawberries, but it seems like only pies and angel food cake is an option.

What are ANY good recipes for ANY kind of fruits involved? I'd appreciate it, so I'd know if its well worth buying fruit on sale in bulk. I don't want it to go to waste. ;)

A simple salad is tossing the sliced fruits with lemon or lime juice and serving with toasted coconut and nuts.

Cobblers are really easy too. There are MANY recipes on gather for those.

My family loves cut up fresh fruit and cool whip! Sometimes I add coconut or some nuts, too.

I have a recipe for a strawberry and goat cheese pizza or a mango egg roll with a spiced cream if you are interested. There is also a tried and true fruit kuchen that I think I posted hear a while ago.

Wow....great ideas above....Jello with fruit chucks can be a cheap dessert. I posted a cobbler some time back that is pretty good but I would not try it with berries. I did one with strawberries one time and it needed much more sugar, Granny smith apples are excellent in the cobbler...just be sure to peel (optional) and core the apple pieces.
Peach Cobbler...btw did I mention the recipe is VERY easy??

With warm weather approaching, especially here in Charleston, SC (where I live), "SMOOTHIES" are always in order! Take your fruit..even the Strawberries when they get, well, sort of mushy...and FREEZE THEM. Once frozen, pull them out and pop your fruit into the blender, mix with one half cup of orange juice (just enough to make the fruit swirl) then drink up or eat with a spoon - Yummo! Add a scoop of vanilla ice cream or yougurt and whip some more for a great dessert drink...it's healthy and you never have to "throw away" fruit again. All combos work. PS- frozen grapes are awesome! (don't give them to toddlers, though!)

I love to make fruit salad, I put bananas, cherries, raisins, nuts if I have them, coconut if I have it, mandarin oranges and apples sliced, and toss it around. You can mix it up anyway and use whatever fruit you have on hand. SOmetimes, I throw in a can of fruit cocktail but drain off the juice, sometimes I also add grapes...

Why not make a simple fruit salad of bite-sized chunks of fruit with a yogurt dressing. If you don't care about the added calories --and want to work a little harder, you could put it over a shortcake or pancake and top it with whipped topping.

Salsa? The sound of that sounds... gross. I don't mean to offend people, but does it sound gross and taste good, type of deal? I know some things look or sound gross, but turn out great? :)

Sometimes I make a smoothie with soymilk (about 1 cup), 1/2 banana (or a whole banana depending on the size), 1/2 cup strawberries, 1/4 cup cantaloupe, and some peanut butter (I prefer organic or natural peanut butter - about 1 or 2 teaspoons). I just blend it all together.

I didn't rad all the thread and I am sure somebody already said it, but my husbands favorite cake was Strawberry short cake. If you don't want to go nuts baking you can buy those little fresh round shortcakes in any grocery store, heep on the strawberries, and top with whipped cream , that dounds good to me right now.

In an individual glass or compote, layer small cubes of pound cake, with vanilla pudding (a pudding cup is great for this) and your fruit. Top with a little whipped cream and it makes a pretty and yummy dessert.

Google mango bread recipes (sweet bread,not yeast kind).....mango upside down cake is another delish recipe...pears make a tasty fruit tart...grilled pineapple is great on its own,or over teriyaki n' sticky rice,and of course with a chicken sandwich...baked apples with cinnamon sauce, and can use berries to make an easy crumble/cobbler

to make a family size fruit salad that looks special, scoop out a watermelon and use as the bowl reserving the juice and of course the melon balls...fill with whatever sliced,or balled fruits you want and pour the watermelon juice over it all...

ambrosia is another good use of several mixed fruits

plum (pear or apple) kuchen is simple to make and very yummy

Salad with chicken, lettuce, candied almonds, strawberries and poppy seed dressing. Also freezing the extra fruit to use in smoothies all summer is great too.
