Welcome to everyone who is joining or thinking of joining. This group, Tall Tales was an inspiration born out of my love of the tale. The space that holds such diametrically opposed authors as Twain and Poe. From the mythic Tall Tales of Paul Bunyan and Babe his blue ox spawned the iconographic images of a new nation. Now while not strictly American, there is something that resonates with the spirit of days of old in a tale.
I eagerly and enthusiastically encourage submissions that embrace the essence of an good old fashion story. One that would be told around the fire, from log cabins to colonial drawing rooms to Girl & Boy Scout jamborees.
Gather around the fire and weave your tale for us.
