The IRS has finally come out with its own way to help taxpayers figure out how much they'll be getting, if anything, for the mid-May mailing of economic stimulus checks. Once you've filled your taxes, just plug in the numbers from various lines as requested by this new calculator and you'll find the stimulus check amount in-store for you:

I'm with you there Wanda P. Note that you could be eligible for the stimulus check if you don't work but do make at least $3,000 in income from non-taxable sources like social security and pension payouts.
I like surprises when they're in the form of a check!
I did my taxes the first week in February.
Thanks for checking and getting back to us PONHROS.
My pleasure donna h..
I will not be getting a check.*POUT** POUT**
Good luck with that Jo C. ; )
Jihaan, I talked to the IRS stimulus check hotline and the operator there confirmed what you said: many of "the softwares don't have a clue."
My pleasure Terry and Michelle.
