Good luck! I've been looking for some alternatives to Gather and may add that one myself. I like to share photos, but they seems second fiddle to articles here.

Best way to maximize your daily points, I think, is through friends and message boards. Confirm all friend requests (you'll see them on your profile page), request friends, and leave messages for people (I think 30 per day, then you don't get any more points). Also, click the link BT Points, then "How to Earn Points" and read through that list for tips on how to earn your points. I've been a member about one month, don't get on every day, but just cashed out for my first $50 Visa card.

I like all the recipes. I just enjoy the site. I play a few games. There is a lot of helpful information on this site as well. Good luck.

Jodie had good advice. I go to Search Profiles, choose a state (I just worked my way through alphabetically) and send out requests. You get 7 points for each request you send. I usually send about 50 a day. Then go through and rate 34 quotes, 34 jokes and 34 recipes each day. You can also mail up to 5 recipes to friends for points. I always play the games, comment on a discussion board question and join the chat. For the chat, you only have to stay on 5 minutes and make 2 comments and that's 100 points.

Good luck. I've been there less than 2 months and have ordered a total of $175 in gift cards. I love the option of a Visa card as you can spend it wherever you want.

search here on Gather and find the other postings about earning points at BTowne... inviting friends is a good point getter, so is celebrity videos, rating quips, jokes and recipes

I got a referral from the same friend who referred me here. I haven't checked it out yet because between here, MyLot and "real life" I just haven't had any time. But I'm going to check it out soon. Sounds like fun and the profit would be a bonus.

I never have time to go over there anymore! Just go to the point page and pick the actions you like best.

I get stuck on the scavenger hunt all the time. But I've done well with the trivia. Not sure how to make the most points. Guess we'll have to read that article referenced above.

Let's see .... you get 7 points per day, just for signing into the site .... I usually just go to the Trivia/Games section and play the GAMES [not the scavenger hunt b/c it is too difficult for me and not worth my time for so few points] ... I tend to do the crossword, majongg, Lucky Letters, Play Four, Jigsaw, and some of the newer things .... each one is worth about 10 points [which can only be gotten once per day] .....

I have found that the Fastest way for me to earn points ... is by rating jokes and recipes ..... you get 3 pts for each one you rate, but it is fairly fast and easy .... they add up quickly ........ OR by POSTING jokes or recipes - at 15 pts for each one posted .... and you get points just for haning out on the message boards/threads and commenting on them or creating new ones [more points for creating, of course] ....

There are other ways to make points .... BT is definitely NOT what Gather once was ... but maybe it will begin to perk up a bit after the influx of gather members ....

hope this helps out those who are looking for easy ways to make points there .... they add up so fast that you are cashing out gift cards before you know it ....
