There's a place inside . . .

where inner therapy resides
Artistic Therapy is not limited . . .
There is a place inside of each of us that softly speaks to our "gifts" and "talents". It tells us what soothes us ~ what softly shapes us ~ what touches us. It signals us, and points to the beauty of our souls. The depth of our spirits.
That inner sanctuary is always open to us at any time, and in any place. Stillness beckons it. Introspection moves it. Focus activates it.
It is the awareness untapped that asks of each of us daily, "Will you choose me?"
The ideas, the creations, the artistry contained within the soul ~ your soul. How awesome when exposed to the light. How brilliant when shining for others to SEE.
The above photo is the work of an artistic landscaper. That landscaper is my cousin Tony.
I bring Tony's artistic therapy here for those of you who can appreciate the arts in their various forms. And, I encourage each of you to tap the artistic form within you and let it speak as it may.
Blessings ~
Rene
When we reach this inner space that is sacred and meaningful fully to all of our senses, we come ALIVE!

It is as though, I have too many thoughts to put down on paper or when I go to paint a picture, it doesn't turn out the way I saw it in my mind...but...some how, it is still therapy...
You may want to try aromatherapy as you are writing, painting or creating. A very nice small desk-top sized waterfall will work wonders as well.
If you have on any music, let it be very soft and relaxing as you do your creations. Just take the time to calm your mind down and relax by doing breathing exercises ~ breath in and breath out slowly. Breathing in good thoughts, and exhaling all anxiety.
See if any of the above methods help you at all Alysha, and let us know!
Blessings ~

It is wonderful to hear that you've found a very creative way to transmute the mass confusion that you had been experiencing into a beautiful landscape within the mind, a joyful expression of creative talent, and a spiritual spark of inspiration. Your idea is very soothing. . . .
Seashells bring with them a reminder of the sea in all of is beauty. The sea ebbs and flows in and out bringing with it wonderful jewels of wonder ~ like the seashells you describe Erica.
You've briefly mentioned your mom ~ and I am not sure what happened . . . or the situation that you were facing at the time that you had to re-assess your priorities and align better. But, I want to say that I thank you so much for taking the time to share your wonderful experience with us.
I love the way you have expressed your feelings and relayed your thoughts. I'd love to SEE the pattern of the shells that you created, and any other variations thereof that you have discovered since you first started doing your artistic and therapeutic contemplative project. I'd like to try to create something like this ~ Please give me some lessons and instructions. It sounds relaxing. It is a good project to take on daily. . . .
I believe you have a wonderful idea that can be shared with the world Erica ~ a professional artistic and therapeutic business of sorts that not only brings joy to your spirit, but would also bring JOY to others. Think about it . . .
I will be waiting to hear back from you, and to hear more . . . on my way to find you . . .
Blessings ~

Tony is very talented! His creation is beautiful.

The inside view and the peace that follows is well worth taking the time to attain. It is so good to know that you are among those who are learning the art so readily available to all of us ~ introspection of the interior of our being.
The Musical Spheres enable us to travel into the spiritual dimension wherein all beauty is created and felt in a way that can inspire, motivate, shift consciousness, and/or bring out the darker side of any one of us depending upon the notes, the lyrics, and the vibration of the music. I'm glad you brought up the fact that music can inspire one to write ~ and write well I might add. I use it as a source of inspiration and motivation all the time.
I'll pass on your words to Tony.
Blessings ~

I'd heard that many great composers, poets, writers and artists were troubled and these things gave them wonderful outlets......
Thank you so much for all you have done over here, and over in our other creative relaxation zone. I really appreciate having you as a friend Lori.
And, you know what? . . . your words, "I'd heard that many great composers, poets, writers and artists were troubled and these things gave them wonderful outlets......" ~ Lori . . .
. . . brings to mind how therapeutic it is for all creative and artistic people to make sure that they utilize the passions and "gifts" inside of them to create an outlet that works out all of life's issues and problems in the most profound and lasting way. Most people are only troubled because they are not on target in relation to what it is that really brings forth the FULLNESS of LIFE for them. When a person is doing those things that they are passionate about, and those things that bring them JOY, then all else is not as troubling as it might otherwise be.
Thank you ~ I'll pass your compliment on to Tony . . .
Your Friend,
Rene
Peace!
I've been to a few of those World Day of Prayer Events Jan. The Spirit of God is present whenever two or three ~ or more {smiles} are Gathered together in prayer in His name. It is powerful to be in the PRESENCE of the Lord during these Events. The Spirit of God is moving and effective in healing all manner of diseases, emotional problems, and heaviness of heart during these Events. I don't know if you witnessed any healings on the spot during your prayer service, but it happens frequently.
The prayer(s) like you've said, Jan ~ are always meditative and incredibly healing in so many ways. Many people come out of the service having a heightened sense of purpose and direction like never before.
I'm glad to hear that you enjoyed the Service.
Peace returned.
