After setteling down and getting by for four years in this sleepy little town... Doing ranodm cleaning jobs, going to the gym religiously, living her routine and midnight walks through the park... She gets caught up in yet another scandal... While walking back home one night she see's a man cart off a body into the local park... Not wanting to get involved (afraid someone might dredge up her past) she makes an annomyous call to the chief of police... Thinking she is now doing a good thing she relaxes and hits the sack, not knowing the coming events will alter her life forever...
Now she has again drawn attention to herself, almost becoming a victim (again), drawing the attention of the police chief (he's figured out she knows something that she's not saying), and having very wanted advances from her married martial arts instructor (he's getting a divorce)... But she is starting to realize she might not just want to "Get by" but actually live her life.
Charlaine Harris is an excellent author! She had me hooked with her Sookie Stackhouse series but I Believe this series will come to rival even Sookie...
I give this a 4 out of five stars!
