Tigger update 1 with pictures! 4-15-08

It has started slow but I have decided to give a little food more often and he seems less aggravated about it.  I am hoping this is going to work today.

I walked out this morning and found Tigger in the warmest spot in the living room!  Z had gone to sleep on the sofa and Tigger was laying on top of him.  Smart kitty I have there!

   Tigger looks sleepy and a little leery, 'What is Mom going to do to me now??"
I will be so glad when we are over this hump.
                                            















So I am going to go and feed Tigger again, stick some pills down his throat and then give him his IV type fluids under the skin.
How happy do you think he is with me?
Well, he growls while I am doing it but if I pick him up he snuggles in and purrs as long as I'm not heading to one of the spots where I've been doing the stuff he doesn't like.

I'm also going to google force feeding a cat to see if there are any other good ideas out there.

You've kept me going this week when I was really discouraged.

He must be feeling a little better since he was sleeping with him like that. Glad to see it.

Awww...I know that you're doing what is best for him, Faith. It is so hard with animals and infants...they are unable to tell us how they feel. I'm praying with you, that you and Tigger get over this hump.

Whenever any of my cats are sick they always go hide under the bed. But Tigger was sleeping with someone on the sofa, I believe that's a good sign. You and Tigger still in my prayers.

Oh he is so gorgeous! He looked very comfy curled up with "his" Z! :-)
I hope he keeps getting a little better each day. I will ask my mother in law if she has any tips. She has always had cats, and currently has 9 living with her. If she has no advice, I will call my vet and see if she can offer any help.

Thanks for the update! The photos make me smile and cry at the same time. Does he still wash himself? If a cat licks itself to be clean, I always figure it is feeling fairly well. Sending more positive thoughts and prayers your way.

Does he like chicken or turkey, my cats loved it ,when they wouldn't eat the vet encouraged me to get that so at least they had some food.
