Virgins were such a valued commodity in history past and I was wondering if it is still a commodity in our day and age so what do you think?

She: "I did not know you were married."
Me: "I'm not."
She: "It is very sweet when a man shows that type of love."
Me: "Does a person usually have to practice something to become good at it?"
She "Of course." (She said something else too, but I forgot.)
Me: "Well, I practicing to be a faithful husband, and that is why I am still a virgin." (I was not dating at that time.)
She was shocked because she is much younger than I am. Other very good reasons to value your virginity are outside this article/comment.
I will probably be laughed at here, but I think there is something very sweet and innocent about it...man (boy), or, woman (girl)! Too many tend persecute for not going with the flow, or, for being odd and different! If it is important to them, it is important to me as well! I will never forget my first time though.....hmmmmmmm!
Good Morning Karen ; - )
I "gathered"...hehehe...you were only taking a "census" here! I didn't mean to imply anything further.....my bad!
You know....."first times"......could be a whole other article eh? (maybe it's been done?)
I am probably much better sticking with "Finance" related pieces!
You just intrigue me!
;-}~~
now days girls preform sex acts that keep them virginal............but I feel sex is sex and if you have preformed a sexual act youv'e lost that virginal truth. One doesn't have to have had sex with a man to have lost your virginaty or do you need to be entered into...............
What I find a shame is that discussions around it normally end up being discussions on religion or morality, where in fact it only has partial relevance. There are far more issues around shame, peer pressure, fear or self worth that ought to be considered as well.
For my two cents worth, I believe that somebody who retains their virginity until they have found "the one" should be applauded - but - big but - I don't believe there is any immorailty with a committed couple exploring it before they make plans around, marriage, a family and a life together.
I have always believed in remaining chaste until marriage. Even K disagrees with me on that one, and he's much older than I am.
I don't know if it creates any "value" to most people, though. If they want to consider value in a partner, they only look at the financial bottom line: is this person responsible? How much income will they have? Are they educated?
To most, that is value. Morality, etc., aren't valued much anymore.
I was a late bloomer myself. To me it was an extreme source of embarrassment and not pride. When it finally happened I viewed it so much as a huge relief that I didn't focus enough on the enjoyment of the moment.
So, who's a virgin by this definition? And if so, does that make a virgin a hot commodity? I think so...........it's all in the semantics ~j
fer a chick....well y"all have wet dreams to right?
Now I'm an old woman trying to grow it back because I am done, and I'm a pagan.
Have fun kids.
