It is hard when a parent hurts their kids. But they need to be with people who love them and take good care of them and that is mot their monm

Oh, that is so sad. I'm sorry to hear that. I wish I knew what you could tell them, but I don't. I guess as long as they are surrounded by people who love them and they show them that love it will work out in the end. I think I would maybe get them some counseling as well. Good luck.

You let them know that they are loved by you and their dad. Don't say anything negative about her around them (they hear more than you think) and just let her make her own bed to lie in. She will regret it someday.
Poor children....they are the ones who end up suffering.

I wouldn't tell them "mommy doesn't love you" instead tell them who DOES love them while leaving the negative out.

You tell them that you love them very much and that you will always be there for them and will take good care of them. Then you try to explain to them that their mother is very afraid.

That is so sad.
What is sadder is that it is true. There are so many people that just don't care enough about their children that any man can come in and stay or visa versa.
Just makes my stomach turn.
Give them extra hugs. I think they need it.

Just tell them that mom has some problems to work out. Don't ever say anything bad about her. Give them all the love & attention you possibly can. Make sure your brother is loving & gentle with them.

my brother is very good with his kids and treats them so much better anyways, i don't talk bad about her but i let them vent and they usually say bad things about them...

Wow, that's really a tough situation. I'm sorry that they have to go through it...it's such a sad place to be. I agree with some of the advice always given...never say anything bad about their mother, and certainly don't give them the impression that they're not wanted. The best thing you can do is just tell them, like Nancy said, that their mother has to work some things out and then to just give it time.

That is so so sad... I dont understand, how any parent can put a b/f or g/f above there kids??? So sorry that they are feeling this way.. I HOpe like Kim says that mom will wake up.. :(

This is so heartbreaking!!! I wouldn't say anything derrogatory about them to the kids. Just let them know that you support them and love them. If she truly abandons them, they are going to need you so much more!!!
