This story was on our local news tonight at 6pm!  I can NOT believe someone would do this!!!!!!!!!!  I copied & pasted from our local new station.  They gave me permission!

The Camden county sheriff says two people are under arrest charged with child abuse.

Deputies were called to a home on Anderson Hollow Road in rural Linn Creek, Missouri last Friday.

The investigation found that 2 children, ages 8 and 10, had allegedly been placed in a clothes dryer, as well as being struck by the boyfriend of the mother. Investigation found that the dryer had apparently been turned on for a short period of time with the children inside. It is unclear at this time if one or both children were in the dryer at the same time.

Arrested at the scene was Stephen W. Ray, Jr. age 26, of rural Linn Creek, MO. He is charged with 2 counts of felony Child Abuse, as well as 2 probation violation warrants. NO bond is allowed by the Camden County Associate Circuit Court. Further investigation has resulted in the arrest of the mother of the children, Nicole M. Eberhart, age 29, also of rural Linn Creek, MO. She was arrested today on a warrant charging her with 2 counts of felony Child Abuse.

Bond has been set in the amount of $100,000.00 by the Associate Circuit Court of Camden County. A court date of April 24th has been set for Eberhart and a court date of April 17th has been set for Ray"

The site/report did not say if the children was ok or not!  This is scary!

I can't believe that someone would do this to their children or even let their boyfriend do this!!!!

THIS IS CRAZY!!!!  I think they should go to prison!!!!!!!  People around these parts are stating that this has been going on for quite some time, now.  These people are a disgrace, IMHO!

The children are usually the ones to suffer in these types of environments. This is such a sad story. Too bad it is a true story.

Don't get me started.......and I find myself defending abortion on other articles. Some people just should NOT have children. PERIOD. Are these children better off because this woman popped them out of her womb? I'm sick of people saying that "life is precious" and that all children that are conceived should be brought into this world...WTF are the when children have to live out a veritable HELL on earth because of sickos like these people? Who is going to protect children from people like this, when the people like this are their PARENTS?

This world is pretty sick.

I think I will research this more to find out the statements these adults made... This is just disgusting... as bad as the mother who put her infant in the microwave... what in the world are they thinking... er not thinking!

The world and the people in it never cease to amaze me with how sick they are.
To bad there is no way that people could be tested or something before having children to make sure they are going to be good parents and then stop the horrible people from having children.

put both of THEM in the dryer and turn it on and let them see how it felt. But I would make them stay in there longer!

And now that is where my work comes in...to clean up the mess like these 2 people. These kids will have so many problems now....poor things. What posseses people to do such a thing to innocent children is beyond me. I hear of this all the time in my line of work. It sickens me.

I can't even begin to imagine what these so called parents were thinking when they did this. I hope the children are taken away from them and find loving families. They certainly deserve it.

Im not going to get into child abuse, as to it makes me to sick. But I will say that these two are sick and insane people, that need to rot in jail.
Most people who abuse kids were abused. Still, there is no excuse. The cycle can be stopped. In most cases, it has on its own. (ask a grandparent or senior citizen how they were disciplined) I agree with Patty, this/child abuse makes me sick. I think both the boyfriend and the mother will be charged & found guilty. In addition, they both need extensive counseling.

Some people are just cruel, mean and heartless. The boyfriend may or may not fit that criteria. I hope he is in jail a long time.
People who abuse children do not last long in prison, often they are beaten until officials are forced to house them in protective custody. A family member works for the prison system so I have heard stories often.

I hope these people are punished, and hopefully there is a normal relative who is caring & can take care of these boys. They will now need lots of counseling too.

This people need to be punisheed to the fullest extend of the law. They also need to be fixed so they can never have children again. I am sorry but once abuse is proven than they should never be around children again.

It is sad that an adult did this. Now I caught my nephew talking his cousins into turning on the dryer (on no heat cycle) with him in it! I actually heard quite a racket and looked to find him crawling out of the dryer laughing hysterically...all the kids were dying laughing...I asked what they were doing and they said he told them to turn on the dryer when he was shut in it...the dryer was turned on for just a second or two. They were playing...scared the mess out of me...and they were not allowed to do it again.

I just couldnt let anyone put my child in a dryer. You have to be careful who you hook up with anyway. Your children should always come first. Hire a reputable baby sitter, go out then go home. I think I would just have to hang someone if they hurt my child.
