Ack! My Gather views are lagging!

views: 74 | comments: 32

All in all, I'm ok with last week's 'upgrade'.  I liked it better as it was, but Pam and the gang have made it clear that those days will never again be upon us, so I figure adjusting is the way to go. 

Anyway, my Views have been lagging horribly today.  I understand that there will be some lagtime, per Gather's admission, but dude, it's been almost 12 hours since I uploaded a pic this morning.  Said pic has 20-some comments... and two views.  TWO! 

I don't really care, to be honest, but it does make me worry.  What if views are directly tied to point distribution?  If they're not being counted accurately, then that throws off the whole system.  (Though it would explain why I've been stuck at the same dollar amount all day.)

So what's the deal?  Gremlin in the views tracker?  Anyone else's views lagging today?

I don't know about my view versus votes cause I just got here. I will check it out. Wouldn't it be typical that views are what counts? jeez. ;o)

Mine are the same way. I have more comments than views. There are A LOT of issues with this upgrde they realy need to fix.

The points seem to be working fine, all things considered -- but it does seem like the views don't update in real time, or for that matter in less than 24 hours.

The truly interesting thing is that this article, after half an hour, has 17 views. So I guess photos and articles aren't being treated as the same beast.

same way here...I feel horrible too, because I am having to spend so much time searching now, that I am lacking in comments. I know a lot of people are having the same problems though. This stinks!

Mine are doing the same thing. I think it will take a while for the system to get all the bugs out. I also think people are just now learning how to find their friends.

There is a delay before page view counts are updated (unlike ratings), but that shouldn't take longer than a few minutes (possibly up to 15?). To wait as long as you have tells me that something ain't workin' right....or wasn't at the time.

I found in the last week many of my photos are not getting a lot of comments or views, it's like they are getting buried.

Spot light your stuff.
Click on your profile, then click under my feed on the dropdown bar. Now click on articles. When they come up you will see spotlight this. Do this for Articles and for photos! That might help us find your stuff!
