Why Are We Here?

So many times we wonder this. Why are we here on this earth? Our lives are salted with good and bad, joy and pain, triumphs and losses. We can see miracles and great tragedies. Sometimes we can make a difference in our lives and others and sometimes there is nothing we can do but pray or grow to accept the unchangeable event.

Life can be smooth at times but always it seems there is some kind of struggle.

Our parents take care of us and we seek from them until we leave home and seek by ourselves. They aren't perfect and many get stuck on what they didn't do for us and don't move onto acceptance and moving on in what we can do for ourselves.

In my high school yearbook under my picture it says, "Wisdom, where it is found?" I have no idea who chose this for me, but it sums up my life quest that led me to God and Jesus. I found along the way it was far better to follow their path for me and trust in their wisdom. I have often heard and learned that God doesn't give you more than you can handle. My choices without their imput and guidance brought me to disaster too many times.

From my life, almost 54 years, I can't answer why we are here completely but I can give you some of what I found to be  the answers FOR ME.

We are here to love.
We are here to be loved.
We are here to forgive.
We are here to be forgiven.
We are here to find God.
We are here to find ourselves.
We are here to find God in us.
We are here to find ourselves in God.
We are here to experience good and joy.
We are here to experience bad and despair.
We are here to choose between good and bad.
We are here to choose between Satan and God.
We are here to overcome the lies that Satan tells us.
We are here to overcome others anger and acts of hurt towards us
We are here to hear of eternal life and  the great sacrifice of Jesus when he died on the cross.
We are here to face our mistakes and imperfections and accept Jesus's gift of forgiveness & eternal life.
We are here to have a better life with Jesus in our lives living in hope, forgiveness, and love.
We are here to learn, respect, listen to, be guided by the Holy Spirit who is our life line and comforter.
We are here to live our lives until we die to this world and are resurrected into perfect beings in Heaven
