Gather poll results

I created a poll here on Gather yesterday.
I asked everyone what they thought about the newest changes on Gather. So far, 59 people participated in the poll, and here are the results:

Don't like it: 46 (78%)
It's OK: 11 (19%)
Like: 1 (1.5%)
Undecided: 1 (1.5%)

I don't think many know how limiting those feeds are actually. I like them even less now than when it started. Unless you limit yourself to small groups of friend sets to feed you, you won't see what you used to see through that feature.

I still don't like it, as it takes much more time to find people's content and you can't really see what the images are in the tiny image icons in the "feeds." Don't care for the info in the feeds of "pings" and "connections," either. I preferred it better when Gather was about the "content." That's what made it different from other social websites. That's my opinion...

I'm getting used to the changes and trying to learn how to do things so I vote - yes, I like it. I just have to get used to it. Sure, there are a few things they could tweak,, but give them a chance and I bet they will. Things don't just miraculously happen in a moment's notice - they have heard you all - and I'm sure they will make some changes to help the mass hysterical people become more happy with some of the things they are so upset over.

Did you know you still can find all the articles and photos members have posted?

just click on their name.

Example: Amy P.

Than in the under right hand corner click on : amp19.gather.com

Than click on article or whatever content you wnt to check out of theirs..

I'm with john. That 500 action limit on the feeds is pretty limiting. I like it less after finding out about that.

I am getting used to it. I find if I start out with my feed set of friends-articles and then open everything in new windows then I don't have to reset it all the time. That was the one of the things I didn't like, you can't set the feed and have it stay there.

I don't like that I can't spotlight older articles and I think I will have to republish some things so that they can be viewed more easily.

All in all, I guess I am getting used to it.
