An hour can go so fast.

Listening to Thistle & Shamrock on NPR.

Even the baby Squeak becomes immersed in the music.

Back in the mid-1990s I attended a church more than 30 miles one-way from my home and this program was broadcast as I was leaving the church parking lot to either return home or go out to lunch somewhere to wait for the next series of choir practices and night service. I love the sound of Celtic music and it soothes the withered brow as it gently thumps around in your mind. Haven't listened to it in years, don't really have a radio that will pick it up since moving to Maryland - thanks for reviving a memory, Doc.

I know what you mean.
After seeing all the Lord of the Dance promotions, I just didn't think it was anything I could sit and listen to. Then one afternoon, while waiting for some food to be delivered I turned on NPR and found myself drawn into its music. It finds a part of ya that nothin' else can get to.

I love Celtic, too, especially my Silly Wizard, Manus Lunny, and Andy M. Stewart! And Luka...I count him as Celtic, too, since he's Irish, even though he's more modern styled.

I love Celtic music too Doc. My son and wife used to do
shows that featured Celtic music, dancing, pole tossing
all the spicey foods. They sold Shortbread there did good
business. They still sell Shortbread they make on the side.
I love shortbread when it isn't to dry!

lots of times the Scots make it with too little oil.

That is my Favorite radio broadcast ever! I'll stick to my lovely soda bread though.... makes Killer french toast!
