Why are there so many flavours of Gather Thought Police. And why do these people have in common that irritating trait of hitting the keyboard before they switch on their brain.
Today someone called Borg Mother, which I would guess is the latest pseudonym of a well known female troll posted a comment on my original article What Happened Before Big Bang - Part 2 wanting to know what I was doing copying and pasting whole articles from a site called Greenteeth.
Well its none of her business, but as it happens I own Greenteeth. The banner on the article at Greenteeth clearly credits the author of the post there as Ian Thorpe, the very same name as I use here on Gather. I wrote the article, researched it and spellchecked it. Also I doubt Borg Mother found the article at Greenteeth any way other than following the link provided in the heading to the gather article as the page is a large type version for people who find the Gather typeface a tad weeny for reading long articles.
I was not aware posting one's own content to a mirror site, or indeed as many mirror sites as one wishes, was in any way unethical.
But then we come to the crunch. Borg Mother says she is going to check all my posts and when she finds duplicates on other sites she will post the articles here as if they are her own.
Well I'm a helpful sort of guy as evidenced by my providing easy read pages for long articles, so here is a helpful list of places where Borg Mother will find duplicates of articles I have posted here. All the pages where they are posted bear my name and all the articles are my original work with any quotations from other witers acknowledged. I own the articles and the pages.

Ian: thank you for speaking up and letting her know that she has once again made a fool of herself.
I can see borg has really hit a nerve. That's what she does. Has it escaped you that this is her mission directive? She is an anti personnell, suicide bomber type.
In spite of this, I find her entertaining. Her hotheaded flame jobs add value to my gather experience. I get a chuckle when she rolls into a thread and explodes. As far as her A$$ets, I wouldn't be surprised if those aren't really her pics.
You can't let her get under your skin. If you do, she'll colonize your brain with viral material. And we all know what resistance is...
My dealings with her in the past indicate the mental capacity and manners of a poorly raised toddler. Sometimes better spelling, but not always.
Plagiarism IS a problem, and anyone who plagiarizes should be called down for their crime. There was no plagiarism in this case.
You might want to "mind the gap" Ian, defaming others is against Gather's TOS!!

funny how she will so rapidly jump to try to blame others for plagerizing yet there are pics she has in her images that are copyrighted and stolen from magazines and other websites. the one of the person in the knitted bodysuit is a perfect example.

Wow! Something besides showing her ass and whining like a small child is interesting? What a long way we've come! What's next? Writing an actual meaningful article? Not stalking and spewing diarrhea?
Also, Ian has not published anything negative, he asked politely for you credit his work should you choose to use any of it in an article.
If anyone cares enough to go see Amber/Borg Mother's comments accusing Ian of plagiarizing his own content, they remain in her feed on her page and there's not a damn thing she can do about it (they also remain on the Gather servers, if needed). Yay for the upgrade! Go back to comments posted beginning at 10:17 am today.

are you denying that you wrote that? what part is it that you are trying to accuse me of adding? i added nothing to your words. you exact words are in italics as they were copy and pasted from your comment feed on your profile. seems to me someone is now abusing the TOS herself now that she got caught with her hand in the proverbial cookie jar in order to divert her guilt onto someone else.

Skyrocketed is a relative term and having looked at your stats i would say in this case it qualifies as hyperbole.
In this case, Ian was accused of plagiarizing work on another site that he CITED - ahem - and WROTE, which was clearly stated on both sites. So there was no plagiarism at all.
