dogwood
naked blossoms
startle me each April
shocking beauty expands my soul
elates me driving through my neighborhood
dry thirsty eyes are filled again
slowing down for a glance
tree perfection
dogwood
dogwood
ripe pink blossoms
wake again each April
pristine beauty nourishes soul
a wave of happiness welcomes me home
greedy eyes once more satisfied
slowing down for a glimpse
spring confection
dogwood

I love
greedy eyes once more satisfied
slowing down for a glimpse
There is I think a name for the same as a Japanese form...syllable count. word sound, nature celebraltion, touching thoughts....all make it a lovely piece.
delecate petals
four in number, colors soft
prompting tears of awe
Thank you!
My neighborhood too is filled with Dogwoods, mostly white.
In my own yard stands a Magnolia tree, full with pink blooms that opened today.
I love the Spring!
Once again I apologize for coming late to this fiesta, I rely too much on notifications that were working with you but somehow since the upgrade have gone erratic.
I have to laugh ... this is the first page I've seen of your site; creativity is spread all over!! The wording, the placement, the photo's. I guess it is the 2nd page; I forgot, I followed the links to see Kenneth Rexroths info from the first page.
Your originality in the similarities/differences in your two verses is also fun. Thanks for posting on my entries.
sweet and delicate sensory tasting that
you feast us all with in this delicious offering
of paired meditations on a celebratory
expansion through melding woman's spirit
with the birthing of blossom breaths, on tree
and within a lovely poetess' delicately framed
skin. Thank you for sharing your beautiful
and generous reflections from "greedy"
visual and poetic exhalations....I feel
most sated and full because you took
care to imbibe so much that you could
then pour forth this enraptured abundance.
I love your photos and praise poem of new beginnings. Joy felt!
Ours isn't in bloom yet.
