Graduation Day!

I was wishing that someday I would have a college degree!

Finally 38 birthdays later...... I got one!!

Today was graduation day!

 

I received Summa Cum Laude and also the President's Cup award.

 

It only took me 22 years after high school to do this! But I am glad I did. (And I'm not done yet! Still in classes working towards my next degree!)

Congrats to you! I know it's not easy! I finally got my college degree last May and thought I'd never be able to do it. I'm highly impressed that you're working towards another degree! Way to go! I keep thinking about it, but then I get lazy and don't know that I want to. :-)

I myself refused to finish my higher education at any organized institutions...and it probably would only take the completion of three or four required subjects to do...
but that's just my idea of beating the system....

Congrats...some of us do it all in a row...some not. I think I have one like you. Smart, but needs her space. I am hiding that I wish she could do the college-freshman-live-in-a-dorm thing. And every time I try to hide it, I remind myself that she doesn't want that. I always told my kids just do what will make you happy...be a brain surgeon or school teacher or artist or stay-at-home mom...whatever makes you happy. Enjoy piano and art...just for the sake of it.

I have several cousins in their 40's that have all gone back to college and gotten their degree. It is awesome !
