See if the comment they posted had been answered . . . Doesn't it irritate some people who write fabulous articles, or post great pictures that when a comment comes in, the author will answer and then hope for another answer or comment to continue so the thread and conversation keeps going?
It irritates me but . . . not guilty of also commenting somewhere and not coming back for awhile if ever cause I commented on too many ? maybe

Then there are those favorites that you get to know so the exchange becomes more personal and natural.
If I leave a nice long comment with a question - then, yes I will return to see if I received an answer. If I didn't it could be, because that person did not have the time, was ill or didn't care. So it is up to me to decide and find out if I really want to be miffed.
Tactless? Well, it's the age of the internet and things have changed, but even here a bit of cyber interaction and courtesy goes a long way toward building real friendships if that is what you want.
Bottomline - it only works if you are both on the same wavelength.
As far as a favorite setting - it would be nice:)

Personally, I only sometimes return after commenting. I wish I could more, but unfortunately, I have zilch free time.
I guess it doesnt really bother me too much.....I have a problem keeping up lol, I try to get to everyone, but with Larry going back and forth to Iowa City . I have been sick with bronchitis so its hard to do everything(plus we had the grandchildren over for the past week too) I am just happy someone comments on my images or articles.

it all depends on how much time they have to be here.....the less time, it seems the more flying through they do, but if they have time they do come back and conversate....
