Removing friends on Boomertowne?

So, I've been working my way through the public profiles state by state to send friend requests for points.  I've got just a couple of states left, then I'll have completed my most lucrative way to get points.  I'm thinking I should go through and start removing friends, so I can send requests again.  Have you done this?  I don't know if BT sends a notice to the friend telling them they've been removed, but if you notice I removed you, don't worry--there's another friend request coming your way!

I don't know if they'd allow you to reconnect with someone or not. I would think it would show that you disconnected and not allow it to request again. We're already connected over there. I just checked. =)

Tabitha, you can request friendship again after you have disconnected. A better idea, would be to start over again though, you will be amazed to see how many new BT members there will be.

I'm not on BT, but it sounds like a good way to beat the system. I don't see why they would get annoyed if they get points for accepting your request.

I sure they will have a system to catch it. They will be looking for new members, not old ones who leave and come back.

I heard somewhere that you lose points when you disconnect from a friend there so that you can't gain more by reconnecting, never tried it though.

I wouldn't recommend doing that, it sounds like you're cheating the system. You might get canned for doing that.

Yes, it is possible to do that....but they can remove you if they catch you...it is seen as cheating and some people get very annoyed- I've seen some nasty exhanges on message boards about it and I have heard about people losing their accounts.
And I would hate to see you lose your account and your points ..... :)

Tabitha, I do agree with Valerie, I don't personally delete the connections. But I did try it once a while ago, which is why I know you can do it. It sounds to me that BT doesn't really give any explanation for when they close down accounts, so just be very careful. It is a great place to be, and we want to keep it this way.

There has been a rash of this lately at Boomertowne and BT voice has said in a chat recently that they will be closly looking for these cheaters who disconnect & reconnect just to gain points. I would not engage in this even though it works you will eventually be shut down as it is cheating. But do go through the states again there are alwasys new members to connect to

I'm not sure if they would catch you at it or not, but this does sound like the kind of thing that they might ban you for, so be careful.

They can catch you and you don't want to get kicked off for nonsense, especially if you are saving up for a bigger prize.

Also...if you're searching by state you will miss all of the Canadians - and there are a lot of them.
You'll find a bunch you've missed if you look at other people's friends lists for people that you don't already know.
I, personally, don't request a lot of friends - unless it's somebody I've met in chat or on Gather. Since my profile is public, I get a bunch of new requests everyday.

It is against TOU to connect than dis connect than reconnect to a friend. That is abusing the point system.

I suggest typing in simp,ke letters like ki and see hwo many new friends you can request popps up.

I am just like I am on here. I don't connect to alot of people. I only connect with ones that I feel I have the same interests with. :) I have over 600 people on BT asking to connect to me. I haven't had time to check out their profiles.

JF, I don't think friends can actually DO anything on BT. They are just for points. (If they can, I don't know what.)

I find the best way to do it is go to the last page public profiles, usually plenty of new members there. You get points whether or not they accept your invite.

Then if you see no new people to invite in public profiles, click on friends of friends and there are often enough to keep inviting there.

To me seems a better way to do it without causing yourself problems. :)

Would just hate to see you get into problems there. Best wishes!
