Ok yesterday I was on here complaining about this time yesterday morning.
I am here to tell you that I have found some good things about the update.
1- I love the new feed me. I can type in any search item and see all the things when ever I click on that. I don't have to keep searching for the same thing over and over again.
2- Its so easy to keep up with the group I started now. Right beside of feed me you will see group feed. Now click on group feed then to the right you will see settings. Click settings. Now you can choose which groups you want to keep an eye on. This allows me to see only my groups. And all of the content is in order as it was added to the site. Easier this way than to go to the groups main page.
3- I really do like to see the Friend feed. It lets me see who's on and who's active. I know that if I comment on their stuff while they are on they will see it and maybe comment back.
4- If you click on my profile (yours) then you will see: View profile as: now you can choose as me. Or as public. How does this help? As you, you are able to set spotlights. As public you are able to see how the public sees. Maybe you are showing nothing on your profile but you didn't know that. Now you can see just how everyone else sees it!

In case you don't return to my help article, here is your answer:
Gather looks at how many points you have earned in a calendar month, not how many you have available to you at end of the month. Therefore you may redeem your points for gift cards throughout the month without fear of not qualifying for the cash program.

Pings for example, which are a part of your profile which is a semi private area, which you could go to their profile and see, if you were so inclined, but now you were watching who is pinging who, and it felt like I was spying into peoples personal lives. The same goes for who has just become freinds with whom. That information was available, but you had to mindfully and by choice, go look for those things. Not watch it like a spy movie flashing before your face.
I do realize that you can filter out those things, but the default setting is to see it all, and everytime you back up, it keeps going back to that setting.
I still miss to see 'all article/picture/video' links once I get into someone profile in this new setting.
I am still checking out the new features.
I'd like to but can't see that it will let me.
