A mix of emotions

I had a mix of emotions when you looked me up

Its been over a year since we last hooked up

My heart was crushed when I let you go

Where you are now I didn't want to know

I thought if I left ...you would leave my heart

You had it from day one .. right from the start.

I loved you ..

That you knew

You claimed to love me too

You could not commit

You wanted to string me along

So I decided I had to move on

Time has come and gone

Although I thought it'd been long

You looked me up ..

... I'd moved on

You say you miss me ..

ask me how I have been

Tell me you love me ..

and want to at least be my friend ..

Now a mix of emotions .. once again

sometimes it is best
to let it go and rest
leave it where it is
let it seep and just fizz.
To much time to get it done
then he might just be on the run
from where ever he has been
I'd even hesitate to be his friend.
