A success has once again prevailed in the area of medicine today. A 15 year old Honduran girl, discovered by a Vanderbilt doctor while on a mission trip, successfully underwent spinal fusion surgery Monday, that lasted 10 hours. After the surgery, she came out in good, but stable condition. The surgery was performed at Vanderbilt Children's Hospital by Dr. Greg Mencio. If she would have not oped to the surgery, she would have faced a life of major problems, including severe scolosis. The Harpeth Hills Church of Christ funded the surgery, which was a great $5,000 fee. Many continue to rally around the family as this has changed their lives. A girl can now live without problems that would otherwise came around to haunt her. Great success comes for the faithful.
