Only in Texas and only in the Rio Grande Valley, can a convicted felon, someone who has had his law enforcement licensed revoked, someone who has had a ruling to be removed from office by a state Supreme Court, still show up to work as the head of a law enforcement agency, Texas Constable, in a act of deviance and arrogance and without any fear from anyone.
In a further slap to the face of the Delta area residence, this disgraced law enforcement officer, if you can call him that, is still being paid, all the while his deputies are in limbo and the Precinct 5 Constable's office is in total disarray.
This reminds me of those old movies, where the local corrupt sheriff, does as he pleases and the local citizens and government officials can only sit by the sidelines in total impotentness. The Dukes of Hazzard, had Bozz Hogg and the people of the Rio Grande Valley, have Walo Bazan.
In either case the ordinary citizen, we, are at fault, for choosing to care more about compadreship and cronyism, than ethics and every day right and wrong. Now we have to deal with this egotistical morally challenged Frankenstein monster, we created in the form of Walo Bazan.
(This is a copy of an editorial, I wrote for the local paper, concerning a local law enforcement official, who has not only been convicted of a felony, and a State court has ordered issued stopping him from continuing his duties, he still refuses to leave the position and he is still being paid.)
