How To Make A Birthday Breakfast (Photo Essay)

Well, since today is my mother's birthday I decided to get up really early and surprise her with breakfast. I decided to make pancakes, bacon, coffee, and orange juice. However, when I went to make pancakes I decided that I wanted to make chocolate chip pancakes. The only problem was that we were out of chips, so I improvised and made some M & M pancakes. ^_^

The first thing to keep in mind when you make a birthday breakfast is that you have to make as big of a mess as you possibly can....lol. I certainly had that part under control.

Now, you may comment on how much ingredients and batter I got on the table...but the table certainly wasn't the only thing I got batter all over.

I certainly got enough of it all over myself, too! xD

But, after all that hard work, breakfast was finally cooked.

Then all that was left was to do was add all the toppings because who ever heard of eating just plain pancakes?...lol.

First a little bit of strawberries...

And then just a little bit of whipped cream...

And viola, breakfast is done! And I didn't even set off the fire alarms!...lol.

I didn't photograph the coffee and orange juice, but I imagine you know what it looks like. ^_^ My mother was pleasantly pleased with her birthday breakfast, and even happier that she didn't have to wake up having a heart attack with a fire alarm screaming in her ear!
