Sleep Just Won't Come

It's nearing 2am and sadly, I can't sleep. My mind is racing and is tracing over the events in the coming days and the material that I will need to master. I know that it's anxiety that is keeping me up and yet I am unable to simply shut off my mind. I feel tired and wanting to sleep, but nothing seems to be helping.

I can't sleep either........you got anything with benadryl at your house....it might help

I hate nights like that, then again just about every night is like that for me. I hope you are able to get some rest soon.

Been through this many times over the years. Everything seems bigger, darker and scarier at night. If there is not something specific you can do right now, tonight, to remedy a situation, stop thinking about it. I mean mentally put the problem(s) in a box, wrap it with chains and drop it in the ocean.
If you can't fall asleep, try reading. Praying helps, too.

I'd suggest Atavan or Xanax.

self discipline can be hard especially when it comes to quieting the mind. what helps for me if you don't want to take the pill popping route is focusing on one word or thing and when something tries to come in, refocusing on the same one word or thing until you fall asleep. if you do that allot pretty soon it becomes second nature and your mind just shuts down allot sooner. I do this and now falling asleep is easy almost any time. good luck Dan!

Im with ya fell asleep at 10:30 woke up at 12:00, still up at 5:00 am, I do the house work quietly tires me back out, well tonight it didn't..as you can see I'm on the computer.... The only other quiet thing to do without waking The family up that can sleep..

Hope ya got some zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz's Talk to ya later have to catch up with alot of people the warm weather has lead me astray and I can finally play in my flower garden and do some yard work :))Been in the 50's and 60's Yip- eee :))

I haven't been to sleep, I cannot get my eyes to shut... looks like it will be a long day in class today... ish!!! Of course this has to happen on a day I really need to pay attn, I have alot on my mind too, finals are a comin'!!!

I know the feeling. I haven't slept in 3 days. Besides the mind going like a race horse I've been having a lot of RLS. UGH!!!
