Cash4Gold - Is it too good to be true???

Many are stating they can send gold into companies and get cash in return. Its being advertised on TV on the Gold4Cash.com program.

I have previously thought about doing this for cash, so we can have a few more dollars to help with items for the household.

Has anyone tried this program: Cash4Gold.com? If not, which similar ones did you use? And did it have a great outcome? Would you recommend this opportunity Cash for Gold from any program offering this?

If you have gold fillings or gold jewelry? I would think jewelry would be better sold on eBay...people always seem to pay more than I would. It seems shady to me.

I have a few broken gold necklaces around the house that I have thought of doing this with too but I too am skeptical of what these places do. With good reason, I think. Gold right now is over $1000 an ounce, just so you know for your information. So if they offer you some off the wall amount - tell them to jump in the lake.

Haven't you heard the expression, If it seems too good to be true, it probably is?

If you send them your 24k they will pay you a little over $200 an ounce for it. Let's see. What's the gold price today? It closed at $924.18/oz. today.

I'm guessing it's not that great a deal!

No idea, but if I were gonna do something with any broke gold etc, I would go to a jeweler to see if they buy or to see if they could be made into anything.

I just saw a commercial for this tonight and was curious to hear if it was legit or not. I am hesitant to believe that it's as good as it sounds.

i saw on CBS news that they were saying not to send your gold to these company's . the news said you can do it live buy taking it to your local jewelers then you can see just how they weight and figure what's it worth. never trust sending your stuff out before you get your money

I have seen this ad on TV, and I have a lot of gold bracelets, I would like to sell, and I told my jewler about it, and he said to bring it in and they would pay me the going rate. Now you can pay $500.00 for a bracelet that may have 50.00 worth of gold in it, as you pay for design, name, marketing etc., so if you just want money for the gram wt. of the gold take it to any jeweler that says they buy gold and you will watch them weigh it and give you money for it. If I had anything I really liked and wanted to get
some money for it, try ebay, take a picture of it and see what you can get, at least you will be able to control what you think it is worth, Be careful of these too good to be true things, and good luck selling your gold.
I've heard of companies like this one, but have never tried them out....I'm just too afraid I'd get ripped off...

No gold around here but I wouldn't use a company like this -- I've seen their ads. I'd go through a jeweler who buys gold instead.

I have seen this on television. I would be a little apprehensive in trying it though. I don't have any gold jewelery anyway, but still.

I've seen it but I don't beleive it. Some of those people say they "went on vacation" with the money they got. I sincerely doubt it. if I wanted to sell any of mine, I'd go to a local trusted jewler in person.

Have fun sending fool's gold, but I'd be careful with real gold after reading this about Cash4Gold on ripoffreport.com. They must be making money hand over fist if they can afford those TV commercials and have already been reported 6 times!
