time-binding friezes of inescapable tension
unstoppable ticks of the cyclical nature inherent in all things
these worrisome days must end soon
life is just too long and too short to spend wasting away
starved of understanding
starved of love for fellow man
i long for the nourishing gentle rain of tenderness and compassion to grace this world
so we may be at peace with one another
standing united as one race
in solidarity
as never before
