Most Treasured Places Photo Album Vol. 1

I was sitting around bored today. Dreaming of my upcoming trip to South Carolina. My son asked if we will be visiting Charleston this time and unfortunately I had to tell him no. Usually we visit Charleston, SC in summer time usually around the middle of August. That is the best time for us to go. The local kids are back in school, a lot of the summer vacationers are gone, and its calm. I love visiting such a calm, serene and beautiful place. So here are a few shots of one of my most treasured places.....I hope you enjoy!


This is a view from our courtyard.
There is only one hotel on Folly Island
it is the Holiday Inn and its lovely.
I could wake up to this every morning...



Another shot of the pier... it was looking a bit overcast at about
7am but it actually turned out to be a nice day for a long walk!

look horrible if I do.



Morris Light... this is all the way at the end of the island.

 It took us a few hours but we took our time. We had
 a wonderful time taking swim breaks, and enjoyin
nature.

My  oldest did not want to wear his swim trunks it was
a bit chilly when we started out however by the time
we got back he was wishing he would have listened to
mom! What can I say a mom is always right :)

So serene and peaceful. It looks like we were the only ones around!

A hurricane came through and took out a road, and some cottages.
They were never rebuilt because of the problem with erosion.

It once sat on shore, or so I was told.
It is now out in the ocean.




I wish I was there now!

We really did enjoy ourselves this day. We always do when we are down at Folly Beach!
It is one of my most treasured places. So many good family memories. To me it is pretty much perfect!


As I was getting ready to leave. I opened the door to our SUV and as I went to get in I a frog in the car... How he got in is beyond me but let me just tell you I screamed bloody murder because I was not expecting it!
He sure looks cute, but if you are
not expecting to see a frog in yourcar then hes pretty scary!
We let him loose and set him free !
I am sure he was quite happy about that.

So this is one of my favorite places in all of the world. I hope you enjoyed seeing it!
