Last week we had a rare sunny day and I took full advantage by taking my four children to a local park. Ester Short Park is located in the heart of downtown Vancouver, WA and has a fantastic surrounding area. We packed a picnic lunch (we're too poor right now to afford the fancy cafes downtown has to offer) and after lunch let the children play for two hours.
Loralei was mostly impressed with the crackers we brought. It was one of the few times she wasn't crying for her pictures. I was digging the background and wishing she'd put the cracker down for a really nice photo. She's still cute though.

Gideon spent most of his time climbing. It was a little windy and after one gust he turned to me and said, "Oh! It's a good thing I had my hood up!"

Gabriel was all over the slides. All though it took us several chidings to keep him from climbing up them. Have to practice proper playground etiquette!

Micah loved making silly faces at the camera. The park is filled with these beautiful, tall trees and Micah was the only one who would stop to pose in front of them for me.

A daddy and daughter moment right here. He loves his little girl.

Signs of spring were everywhere, and what welcome signs they are!

A mother and daughter enjoying the sun. I'm working at being braver about street portraits. Photographing them from behind was as brave as I got.

It was a beautiful day and such a nice time! I'm really glad we went and I can't wait for the next sunny day adventure!
