Say hello to our lovely bride and groom:
(yes, he covered her face with cake just moments later.)First there was a cocktail hour which included
5 different types of hot "appetizers" (like chicken parm and fajitas), cheese and crackers and several waiters wandering with trays of nibbles (likemini white pizza slices and tiny egg rolls). And of course, the open bar. It was all delicious.
Dinner flowed throughout the reception. Dancing, then food, then dancing, then food... You get the idea.
First course: pasta with a light tomato cream sauce. Pretty tasty.

Course two: mango and greens salad with a light balsamic drizzle. That's my mango martini in the corner.

Course three: Mango sorbet interlude. Anyone noticing the mango trend? Apparently the bride likes mangos.

Main course: Your choice of prime rib with mashed potatoes
or Salmon with a mango salsa
. The prime rib had a tasty gravy but was otherwise highly disappointing - over cooked and not much flavor. The salmon on the other hand was quite good. There was also a chicken dish, which I neither tasted nor got a photo of.Dessert: There was an ice cream bar with your choice of chocolate, vanilla or caramel ice cream and a variety of toppings, and of course, there was wedding cake! Their cake was a delicious apple spice cake with a nice white frosting.

All in all, a nice dinner, although there was far too much of it. I was Stuffed by the end of the evening.
