Orchids! (Thanks To Selby Gardens!)

Here are a bunch of different orchid photos that I took at Selby. I can't believe how many different varieties there are. Everytime I visit the park, the green house has different orchids blooming. Something new to see everytime!

These were all taken on my last visit. All taken by me, with my fugi finepix. Enjoy!

This next photo ammuses me..these orchids look crazy, like there 'ears' are sticking straight up or something! HA! I guess I have a crazy imagination..I don't know!

These next orchids look like they have little hairs on them, then the follwing photo is the same picture I posted the other day, the 'hairy' orchid!

Here is on just FULL of blooms. I posted a full shot of the whole plant, and then a close up too!

This last photo is a view of part of the greenhouse. They make it look like a junbgle in there. They have so many neat plants, from all over the world in here! It's a beautiful place!

Holly I love orchids, and I am amazed at how many there is. They remind me of Michelle Paver's Eden books, which take place in Jamaica. Apparently Jamaica (My husband's native country) are supposed to be the home to lots of different kinds of orchids. I hope I will be able to see them one day.

It's just amazing how many varieties of orchids there are - I've seen exhibitions of them many, many times, and never get tired of them. Thanks for sharing yours!
