Do you have family on Gather?

The title really says it all. I've seen several mom/daughter and sister combos here, so I'm curious how many of you have actual family here. Which one of you was here first and invited the other(s)? Why did you do it and do you enjoy having your family here?

(And I know many of you consider yourselves family anyway, but just this once, can you make the distinction, please? hehe)

For those of you who don't have family here, would you ever consider inviting family members here? Why or why not?

No. I've asked them several times. Several joined for First Chapters to comment and vote on me, but they didn't stay around...

i dont have any family on here that i know of. i was thinking of maybe inviting a few people but i may write some articles of venting, or other sensitive things that i dont really want my family to know about. im sure we all have a family member who turns a simple argument with a spouse into abuse lol. and i may end up complaining about hubby so i really dont want him to read it either, he doesnt like everyone to know our business. personally i dont care lol.

My brother was here first..Then me...then a niece, another, another, ...then my sis in law, who is like a sis....my granddaugther.... and I know that tho they aren't members, some of my neighbors come just to read,lol..I don't post any neighbor stories...Don't wanna get Beat up...One does have to be kind of careful about what they post when they have family on, so as not to hurt feelings. i have a few "gather" friends that mean as much as blood kin too..

My grown daughter is here, she's embattledsparkle. We both joined from a post at the old Judy's Book website but didnt' become active right away. I started gathering more first and really got into it about a year ago and then she came and started spending more time over here too. I did get my mother to join but she isn't active. I believe my daughter got my brother to join but he isn't active at this time either.

My Mom and Daughter are on Gather. My Daughter decided to stop Gathering for a while. She has dial-up and it is frustrating for her. Mom has been writing a story. Yes my husband(helocop) is here. I invited him. He does not get on much because of his work schedule but he is fun to have around especially during a chat.

My husband is on gather, but all he does is look at pictures! lol I don't know if he has ever even commented on one, but I know he does like looking around at all the different pictures.

Yup....

My oldest son is Will Evans...he was part of the team that launched Gather three years ago. He's a user architect. Although he no longer works for Gather, he does continue to post articles.

I do have family here. My aunt, Regina L., is on here. She was here long before I got here. She was always talking about this wonderful site and I finally joined up. So glad that I did.
I would love to see more of my family here, trying to talk my sister into joining.
Got some friends here also that I have known for a little while. It's wonderful having people you know in life here. Atleast it is for me.

My oldest sister was here first. She invited me. She used to be very active on here, but now she is very busy with a new career. I used to be active, but quit for a while because the fighting got on my nerves......I mean.....grow up! My other sister is also on here. She has never been active. My mom is on here now too. I guess, since I've been gone she has been active.

You have to be more careful what you say and do with family on here. Things can get taken out of proportion. Also, privacy has become nothing but a past idea with personal family issues it seems, so I don't come here that much anymore.

I've been thinking about closing my account, and without telling anyone, opening up an anonymous one.

Has anyone done that?

I have family here,I was here first I joined through MyPoints.Then I invited my cousin Rebecca C. she then invited her husband and her sister.I did it because I wanted to share a great place with Rebecca C.,But she is the only I invited other than my sister Veronica but she just does not have time for it she says.And another cousin Charlene W.,other than that I would not invite anyone else.Nuff said.

My stepfather and sister have accounts but neither are active gatherers presently. My aunt and lifemate are.
