Comment Speedway is planning for its second contest, starting April 16th!

I'm still working out some of the fine particulars, but I thought that I should announce in advance that Comment Speedway is planning on running its second major contest on Gather.com! For those of you who were here for the first contest, this will be run similarly; for those of you who haven't seen the previous contest, and are interested in participating, read on!

(This is not the official version of the rules of the contest; some details may change at the actual commencement of the contest, so consider this merely a heads-up on good things to come.)

The contest will begin on 12:01 AM on April 16th, and will end on 11:59 PM on April 31st. During this period, a contest article will be featured on Comment Speedway's front page. Articles, images, and videos that have been posted to Comment Speedway will be featured within this article. To participate in the contest, all you have to do is comment on these featured articles. Those who are within the first ten comments on a contest-featured piece of content (and whose comments occur during the contest period) will receive one Contest Point (not to be confused with a Gather Point) if and when the article, image, or video reaches ten comments. This will be tracked using a scoreboard that will be hosted in a separate article.

Six prizes will be awarded for this contest; five will be awarded for the contest participants with the highest amount of participation (as measured by Contest Points), and one will be awarded to a lucky random participant. Participants must be a member of Comment Speedway in order to win, so be sure to join the group! The Grand Prize for this contest will have a value of $50, with a Second Prize of $25 value and Third, Fourth, and Fifth Prizes of $10 value, as well as the Lucky Prize of $10 value.
