Elena had a wonderful life and a wonderful fiance... Her life was almost complete... Then one day while visiting with her fiance's family she encounters one of the biggest dogs she's ever seen... Trying to be friendly she puts her hand down where he can sniff and and lick and not feel threatned when it decides to bite her... Not hard but enough to break the skin and begins to lick it like he was sorry... Never thinking this to be strange she wonders why the family is so up in arms about it... She wonders until she falls terribly sick...

Accomidating to a life as a werewolf wasn't easy for Elena... For the first year she was so prone to outbursts of rage that she was confined to the "cage"... After that she became more accepting of her fate but instead of live with the Pack she decides to try and live life like a human... It works for a while... Then she is summoned back to the Pack because someone is trying to bring them down and only with Elena's incredible tracking abilities can they even begin to try and track down and "Hunt" whoever it is doing this...

A Wonderful book... Going into my top ten... This story is heartbreaking and funny all at the same time... Elena is a typical female in that she really doesn't realize what makes her happy until she is on the brink of losing it... I can't wait to pick up "Stolen", the next book in the series

Have you read any of the books by Nina Bangs? She does a series that's set (mostly) in a place called the Woo Woo Inn. She writes with a lot of humor and has some wonderful characters.

Yeah, she has werewolves, vampires, space travelers, cosmic mischief makers and witches. Depending on which book you read, there might even be a little bit of time travel. I might have to go dig my set out and read them again, LOL!

I had not heard of this book but I adore folklore based stories (i.e. vampires, werewolves, etc) so I will definitely check it out.
