I placed an order online today and at the bottom of my emailed confirmation was a little blurb that said the following:
NOTICE
This order qualifies you for a
FREE SHIPPING REBATE!
Go to www.ClaimYourRebate.com
I clicked on it and was redirected to this freeshipping.com site. Apparently, you pay $5.99 for a year's membership and then any shipping you pay through their 1,000+ partners is returned to you. I thought it was mildly interesting, since I recently tried and tried and tried to find a free shipping code for a Babies R Us purchase I had to make but couldn't find a valid one and had to pay shipping (egads!).
I didn't sign up.
Has anyone else used this site?

Check this site: http://www.complaintsboard.com/complaints/free-shippingcom-c181674.html. Also even though they have an A+ rating with the BBB (http://www.bbb.org/connecticut/business-reviews/internet-shopping/clarus-marketing-group-llc-in-wethersfield-ct-30000449), they have had 45 complaints in the past year, so I don't think I will try them.
I had gotten the freeshipping.com offer on the order confirmation from Woman Within. They tell you that you will get a rebate for the shipping on the order you just placed, plus a free 30-day trial, then theyy charge you 8.97 per month, but they also ask you to enter at least one credit card number. I am leary about any place I get redirected to that asks for a credit card in which I didn;t seek them out on my own. I glad I researched it before I signed up!
