I decided to go to Bok Tower today to take some pictures because we had to get the passes yesterday. I will focus just on the main structures here, but I have LOTS of pictures of flowers and a few animal pictures I will post later. The building has TONS of details. The windows are all pieces of art. They do not allow any visitors inside, so these are all of the outside (and some of structures/ pieces on the surrounding land). The building is completely surrounded by a moat with a gated bridge on 2 sides. There are many acres of trails and gardens around. All of these were taken within the gardens. (If you really want to see the details, click on the photo on the top right to see them full size.)
First, the tower from a distance.
Entrance to the visitor's center
From the Scrub Pine area.
Getting closer...

The gate
The door (it has pictures on it, but you cannot get directly in front of it)

The birds perched on top
The windows on the top of the tower (under the birds)

A view of the top
The Adam and Eve window (front under the top windows)
The sundial (front under Adam and Eve window)

The middle window (back)
The bottom windows (sides)

The balcony (back and sides)
A nice resting spot...
to watch wildlife (Now, you know I HAD to put at least a couple animals in here!).
The squirrels are VERY friendly and plentiful.
A plaque about Bok
A quote by Bok
The carilloner for the day (I'm not sure how many there are, but they have live concerts several times a day. I do have a video with him playing, if you want to see it.)
A model showing where the rooms are located inside
Outside the visitor's center

An example of the instrument (carillon) with just one bell attached. There are many on the one in the tower ranging from very small to about twice the size of a man.

Thanks for posting to All Photo Essays Here. You should seriously consider making the photos larger and putting them into the article large that way. I'm heading to them now to look at them.
