Have you planned your 2008 Vacation?

It's that time of year that we all plan our summer vacation!  Have you planned yours yet if so, tell us where you're going this summer.

I have 2 small vacations planned this year, my first one is with my family, we are going back to Six Flags in May. 

My next vacation will be the first of June, the ladies in my church have planned a two day trip to Myrtle Beach SC and I'm going to have a great time!  My sister is a member of our church and she owns a timeshare so we're staying in her timeshare which is nice.  I really can't wait for this one, I'll be without my husband and children, boy I'm going to enjoy myself! lol

We are planning a trip to Costa Rica for our family of 3. I have been there many times, but my husband & daughter have not, so this year we are all going!
Just not sure when, was planning for late July, but a friend & I may be able to overlap our vacation if we go later in the year.

My husband and I were just talking about this earlier this morning. We go to Florida roughly 3 times a year and although my dad lives there and I want to visit I am not sure where we are going to go. We were talking about Texas or Tennessee but I am not sure since we have a 10 month old and with gas prices being so high. We are planning on California for 2009 though.

No. We haven't been on vacation since 2003. I doubt we will be on one until after 2010.

We are still trying to recover from the big trip to Scotland last year, so no big trips this year.

We're going to a writing conference in Chicago in April so we're leaving a day early and taking the scenic route through Wisconsin.

We really can't afford a real vacation. We are going to the waterpark, and we have year passes for Bushe Gardens, so we just hang around pretty close to home. I giuess we are lucky living in Florida though. A lot of people come here for their vacations. We just don't have to rent a hotel, we can just drive hom at the end of the day! I am going up to Illinois to see my grandpa, but that won't be fun...he's dying of cancer. Your vacations sound great!

I take "mini" vacations to the beach as often as I can. With the way gas prices are going up, they won't be that often. However, for the "big" vacation, Allen & I
have a honeymoon/vacation planned and are going to New Orleans and Texas (San Antonio).

We live 2 miles from a beach. I try to get the children there three times a week in the summer. We also go camping there. Whoo hoo!
No big plans this year.. Next summer we will be going to visit our daughter in Germany. That will be very exciting for all of us!

I'm off to a Greek island in a few weeks, another week planned in Paris in June and a couple of weeks in Cornwall in early September. Plus a couple of long weekend breaks - one to Lisbon and another to Barcelona.

We're saving up for Hawaii in 2009, but this year we are going to go to Logan, UT and stay at the Anniversary Inn for a night. We stayed at the one in downtown Salt Lake last year and loved it and there is a room in the Logan one we really want to stay in, so it's our "mini" vacation. It also works out pretty well because we will only be gone for about a day and a half and won't have to worry about getting someone to house sit & watch the cats.

hhhmmmm, haven't thought to much about it yet.
No, we haven't made any plans for vaction this year. I am sure I will be taking the kids on short free trips that are a short distance away. But we know my husbands granmother is in poor health. She is dieing of congested heart failure (Please excure typo if not spelled right). She is 97 yrs old and still living in her own home. If she dies we will take a vaction by going up to her funernal and taking care of all the details and stuff.

It sure sounds like you will have lots of fun Carolyn.

Our money is tight and my husband is working constantly, so we won't have any big vacations this year. We cannot complain though as Miami Beach is only 20 minutes away.

We are planning a two day camping trip to the Keys though. We have the tent, so we might as well use it and the keys are so close. My goal is to pay for everything with my Gather earnings. I already have a 50 dollar gift card from BT, which will be used for gas.

We never take vacations, really. We generally go back east to visit my family for a week at some point (though we didn't last year), but that's about it. We're lame.

We will be going to FL to our timeshare for a week. Then later in the summer right before school starts back we will spend a week in Myrtle beach. We may get up to NY this year for about 4 days. Thanks for asking.

I'm also trying to plan a summer vacation. My mom is turning 60 and I really should have planned this months ago. I am hoping to find something all the siblings and grandkids can enjoy as well!

I went on a cruise for my vacation. Just got back. We'll probably go for a weekend at the beach later on in the year as well.
