1. Write down your reasons and motivation to lose body fat. And then stick it on a wall or somewhere visible. This will serve as a constant reminder 'Why You're Doing This'
2. Tell someone about it - make yourself accountable and report to them. A buddy system is a great way to keep yourself motivated and talk things over. Document everything down.
3. Keep a food and workout journal - note down everything you eat and drink, and the workouts you do. That way you can keep track of your food intake and your fitness level. This is a great way to keep yourself motivated when you feel down. A review or a look back at your journals will show how far you've progressed since you began your journey.
4. Plan and cook your meals in advance. And store your cooked meals in the fridge. That way, you will not stray towards fast foods or take aways.
5. Eat more wholesome foods and cut out liquid calories. Get more protein, healthy fat, good carbs and fiber in your diet. all are essential for a healthy body.
6. Give yourself a treat once a week - when it comes top healthy eating, it doesn't have to be perfect. don't lock yourself away from you enjoy. Just as long as you are sensible about it - like 1 piece of cake, not the whole cake - then why not. Or go for the low fat kind of snacks.
7. Eat more during the day - I mean eat 6 healthy mini meals a day to prevent cravings. Stick to 1 plate portions.
8. Be patient and set yourself small goals - small goals lead to bigger goals. Smaller goals are easier to achieve - and gives you the motivation and momentum to continue. Plan to lose the body fat gradually.
9. Don't worship the scales - weight yourself once a week. The aim here is to lower your body fat. Losing weight takes accounts many factors, but lowering your body fat is more of a health option.
10. Start interval training and strength training.
