Wow, I hadn't realized how long I had been away from Gather.
I came back to "dump" the entries from my three groups into the public domain. I feel bad about waiting so long to get my members' work "out there."
How is everybody? Any news? Please share what's going on in your lives.
Me? Okay, I'll go first (some of you dislike going first - at anything).

I'm taking 15 hours at the local university and am an English major with an emphasis in creative writing. I'll get my degree (hopefully) by the end of next year. Where do I plan to work? If I stay local, probably at a newspaper or regional magazine. If I am willing to "go where the job is," then, maybe a grunt editor at a larger publishing house?

There IS part of me that wants to move from the south to CA or New York and just SEE what it would be like to edit for the Big Guns.

I haven't done much but complete my pregnancy with perfect results: a little girl born in March.
I can say that b/c I've been there and done that. I wouldn't change a minute of it.

This week, I'm shifting icons on an almost daily basis to honor some of my friends. I have no idea why.
But my son did ask me to send out a 10-minute play for him - maybe he'll get somewhere with his writing faster than I will.

How have you been? I am still working the farm. The chickens are going to be picked up tomorrow. The loud trucks will keep me awake again. That is nothing new. How is school going? I think it is cool that you are going back and doing something you enjoy. Have you made any trips to Texas lately? It is still hot and the air is heavy like always.
